wildflowers!

The Wildflower field!  Wow, it was amazing, hot, fun, all rolled into one.  We visited our friend's farm in Lake Butler and acted like silly city kids!

I had been wanting to shoot the wildflowers since last year and missed them so this year, I ventured out and used up a lot of gas trying to find the perfect place to take pictures, not knowing our friend had them down the road from her all along! This is our little Lizzie and the cute teen ager is Stacey, whom I'd like to photograph more of ;)

T shirt making time!

Yes friends, it's time to get ready for the MS Walk, April 18th, in Jacksonville and we have tye-dyed our t shirts and they're ready to go!

Super Bowl Party

We had a great time at Dr Bailey's for the Super Bowl Game tonight!  I was pulling for Arizona and thought we'd pulled it thru but NOT - darn!

Anyway, lots of fun, food and these goofy glasses for a commercial - thanks Dr B for being such a fantastic host!

Happy 2009!

Nope, don't have big plans to bring in the new year although I am quite sure I'll be toasting with a friend or two between now n then (at least I hope that I do!)

So, 2009, wow, it's crazy isn't it, how fast the yrs just fly by...out with the old, in with the new!  Bring it on, and happy New Year to all of you - may you have a most healthy, happy 2009 :)

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, blogger fans!  I enjoyed going to Church this morning with my son and his girlfriend, here visiting from St. Louis, and with my sister and her family, then out to lunch.  It truly has been a most wonderful weekend having Brett home, both of my kids here all at once, it's been a long time.  We celebrated our Christmas with him and our family yesterday - opened presents, ate great food, had  a white elephant gift exchange, etc etc!

Holidays R Here!

I don't know why I take pictures of the things that I do but I find it captures my moods and especially when it involves my family - esp during the holidays too.  So, my Mom, the Greek that we all know and love so much, she's been in the kitchen whipping up her Greek specialties...if I knew how to spell them I would but I don't and too late to look it up---cookies with ground pecans and rolled in powdered sugar - cookies traditionally eaten with morning coffee, sprinkled with sesame seeds...they are just so pretty (and my Mom, our YiYi, made them)!

Walking on a country road...I think there's a song that goes something like that!  I had a great time shooting this family on this very cold morning!  The little one kept us all in high gear -

Halloween 2008!  Lizzie was a 3-eyed monster for her first Halloween - (yes, there are many years coming for her to be a fairy, or a princess, etc etc)!  She really didn't know what to think of all the kids coming to the door for candy, she kept 3 eyes on them at ALL times!!

 -and we met up with the Tin Man and the Lion from the Wizard of Oz!

The pumpkin patch!

Oh it was so much fun watching Lizzie today in the pumpkin patch!  She doesn't like touching the hay with her feet and really couldn't figure out what all those orange things everywhere were!  This place was so cool, they had a 1933 rebuilt tractor pulling a trailor with hay for hayrides and kids were everywhere.  Happy fall ya'll!

If you happen to see a little butterfly in your garden, it might be LIZZIE!  She loves modeling for her Aunt Terri Lee now and poses every time!  Love it!

Lizzie enjoys her first cookie today or should I say she devours her first cookie today, she LOVED it!!

Jaime Smith's Grand Opening!

My cousin, Jaime, has opened her new photography studio in Green Cove Springs and had a big bash tonight to celebrate.  Wow, what a really cool place, it has so much character with the brick and all that she and her partner, Stacy, has done so far.  Congrat's Jaime - I wish you BIG success :)

Elizabeth 'Poo'

Meet little Elizabeth "Poo"!  I scored with this stuffed monkey I brought to her - yes, I guess could say she was slightly bribed, but anything to get pictures, right?!  Her mother and I have made many attempts to get together and it finally happened this morning, long enough to get a few good shots...

Meet Mason!

Look at this darling little boy - he is a HOOT!   Doesn't he look like a little man in a baby's body?  I met him at his mother's make up party recently and can't wait to get more pics of him soon - boy, Jodie, you're gonna have your hands full with this little one ;)

Another person's treasure"!  I found these two butterfly chairs at a yard sale today - was so thrilled to add to my patio collection of 'retro' re-used furniture...and orange and blue, no less :)
